EW Howell Holds First-Ever Blood Drive
EW Howell Construction Group held its first-ever Blood Drive at its Plainview office on behalf of the New York Blood Center.
There is no substitute for blood. Blood components cannot be synthetically made and only come from volunteer donors. The blood on the shelves today saves lives — which is why donors are needed to give regularly so that there is enough blood when a disaster or crisis occurs. Blood donations aid our community for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, needing blood transfusions or surgery, and suffering from chronic illnesses or traumatic injuries. Divided into three primary components – red blood cells, plasma, and platelets – each pint of blood donated can potentially save three lives.
Our first Blood Drive was a major success, with 40 people rolling up their sleeves to make a donation. Each donation will go on to save lives, including accident victims, cancer patients, those with bleeding disorders, and more.
At EW Howell, we are proud of our contribution to this vital cause and want to extend our thanks to all who participated – your donations have made an incredible difference. To learn how you can donate, click here.
