Marilyn J. Maher

Director of Risk Management, Legal

With 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Marilyn Maher administers the company’s Risk Management, Legal department. She oversees the company’s Property and Casualty insurance, Builders Risk, Subcontractor Default Insurance and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP) as well as personal injury and workers compensation litigation. Marilyn is responsible for providing risk management support to our Senior Management and is involved with our project teams during proposal stages, Owner award of contract, and through closure of subcontracts and claims. In addition, Marilyn is also a litigation paralegal and has extensive experience with corporate litigation, mediation, mechanics’ liens, as well as drafting and negotiating numerous types of Owner contracts, subcontracts and payment and performance bonds.

George Grauer

Safety Director

With over 30 years of experience, George Grauer, our Safety Director oversees the company’s safety program and visits the jobsites on a scheduled and unscheduled basis to assure EW Howell Quality & Safety standards are met. Specific duties include coordination of field labor, schedule review, supervising quality control programs, trade union relations and job site safety. In addition, George is a certified instructor and provides a support system for our superintendents in pre-planning, helping them to recognize and prevent daily jobsite hazards.

Charles R. Wolf

Quality Director

Charles Wolf, whose Architectural career spans over 31 years, possesses an extensive diverse, and in-depth working knowledge of Quality Control, in both construction and construction document. As lead Architect and primary client contact for many diverse, complex, and challenging projects, Charles understand the value of Quality Control. Having been responsible for all aspects of Architectural projects including scheduling, design and particularly Quality Control of the construction documents and Quality Assurance of the work in the field.

David Casillo

Director of Estimating

With over 25 years of construction cost estimating experience, David Casillo serves as our Director of Estimating overseeing and coordinating all efforts of the company’s estimating department to meet the established sales goals and growth objectives of the company. David will analyze and approve all proposals and budget preparations leading the department and estimate projects as required.

Denise Orlando

Marketing Director

With over 15 years of experience, Denise is the head of the company’s marketing department overseeing all marketing activities of the firm including branding, public relations, proposal generation, graphic design, social media, web design and event planning.

John Finamore

Director of Business Development

John Finamore is a seasoned construction professional with over 30 years of experience and possesses an MBA and a wealth of knowledge in the New York region construction industry. As Director of Business Development, John is responsible for coordinating and implementing plans designed to service existing clients, capture new clients and business opportunities with a client centric approach.

Arsenio Minondo

Vice President

Arsenio Minondo started with EW Howell in 1998 and has over 36 years of experience. As Vice President, he is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the projects within the Public Works Division.

Robert Hohmann

Vice President

Mr. Hohmann has 32 years of professional experience in the construction industry. His demand for excellence and ability to accelerate projects on a fast-track basis earned him a trusted role on the creation of corporate offices for a diverse range of users. Mr. Hohmann currently serves as the Vice President in charge of EW Howell’s Interiors Construction Division where he will be in charge of overseeing all aspects of the projects within his division.

Howard Rowland

CHAIRMAN

Howard Rowland started with EW Howell as a Project Manager in 1983 and rose to company president in 1997. He has served as a guiding force behind our 132-year-old company, bringing a sense of integrity and responsibility to all aspects of the firm. Mr. Rowland currently serves as Chairman, leveraging his knowledge and experience of the company and the industry to navigate our continued growth, people, and service to our clients.

PAUL O’ROURKE

Executive Vice President

Paul has been with EW Howell since 1988. He began his career as an assistant project manager and over the years, through his performance and dedication, has proven to be a most valuable asset, enabling him to perform at the highest level in his current duties of overseeing the Healthcare, Special, and Interiors divisions.

MICHAEL JOHNEAS

Executive Vice President

Michael Johneas has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He has over 10 years of experience as a project manager, managing a diverse range of construction projects from inception through completion and in 2001 was promoted to Project Executive. He has been involved with the Target Store program since 1997 when we started construction on our first store. As Executive Vice President, Michael is responsible for overseeing EW Howell internal operations.

DANIEL WILLIAMS

PRESIDENT

Daniel Williams serves as EW Howell's President, where he is responsible for the company's day-to-day decision-making and responsibilities across all departments and divisions. With 30 years of construction accounting experience, Mr. Williams also oversees all accounting activities firmwide.

DOMINIC PAPARO

Vice President

Dominic Paparo has been with EW Howell since 2000. As Vice President acting as the Director of the Institutional Division, Dominic is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the projects within his division.

BOB ZIRKEL

Vice President

With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Bob Zirkel started at EW Howell as a project superintendent in 1985 and has rose within the company. As Vice President and manager of all field operations within the Institutional Division, Bob works hand in hand with Dominic to focus on the construction of all projects within the division and play a significant role from pre-construction through final close-out.

KEVIN McKENNA

Vice President

Kevin McKenna has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry as a project manager and project executive, managing a diverse range of construction projects from inception through completion. He currently serves as Vice President, in charge of the Commercial Construction Division.

BOB TIMPERIO

Vice President

Bob Timperio has over 23 years of experience in the construction industry as a project manager, managing a diverse range of construction projects from inception through completion. In 2008, Bob was promoted to Project Executive, and is now the Vice President of the Healthcare Division. Bob is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the projects within his division.

JOHN K. HAGEN

Chief Operating Officer

With 45 years of experience in the construction industry, John K. Hagen oversees and is responsible for all of EW Howell's construction operations, continually reinforces the company's core values, and strives for excellence. Mr. Hagen is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in New York State and holds a Master of Professional Studies. He is instrumental in maintaining organizational structure for our current and future needs.

HARRY HANSEN

Vice President

Mr. Hansen has 43 years’ experience in supervision, coordination, scheduling, site logistics, and project phasing as a Project Superintendent. He started with E.W. Howell in 2001 and worked on various projects for Brookhaven National Laboratory, Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum, and Stony Brook University to name a few. In 2008, Mr. Hansen was promoted to Project Executive and currently serves as Vice President, in charge of E.W. Howell’s Special Projects Division.

JOSEPH CHIARELLI

Vice President

Joseph Chiarelli has more than 30 years’ experience navigating the construction industry in the greater New York region, including New York City and Long Island. He most recently served as the president of NYC Metro Operations at Consigli Construction. Joe also spent 19 years at T.G. Nickel & Associates; as Partner, Executive Vice President, and Director of Operations, he was instrumental in transforming a small, upstart construction firm into a nationally recognized, preeminent builder in the New York region. He now serves as a Vice President for EW Howell.
