Building
In New York

Founded in 1891, EW Howell is a well established General Construction and Construction Management firm. With offices in Manhattan and on Long Island, we provide construction services throughout the region to a diversity of clients including retail, education, government, cultural and healthcare organizations.

Established first as a builder of fine homes, EW Howell quickly earned a reputation among those with influence, both in Manhattan and on Long Island, constructing elegant Gold Coast estates, many of which still stand today, for clients including the Guggenheim, Pratt, and Hutton families.

In the decades that followed, EW Howell grew and evolved with the changing times, becoming an integral part of the commercial construction industry. Now, we stand as one of the most prominent New York construction firms.

Central to EW Howell’s longstanding success is our dedication to every stage of the construction process. From initial planning to ribbon cutting, we maintain a constant flow of communication so that ideas are shared, challenges are surmounted, and fresh concepts are born.
