Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory Building

The New York Botanical Garden, Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory

With the success of the Leon Levy Visitor Center, EW Howell Construction Group was also chosen to construct the Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory located at The New York Botanical Garden in Bronx, NY.

Designed by Ennead Architects (then known as Polshek Partnership Architects), the 28,300-square-foot lab provides state-of-the-art scientific research facilities for molecular biology and plant genomics, as well as the graduate studies program, making it the largest and finest laboratory research facility in any botanical garden in the United States.

It comprises nine laboratories, support and storage facilities, offices, multi-use areas for students and visiting scholars, and a conference room. All of the labs and public spaces open out to the view to the lake.
