Target Stores purchased the former K-Mart building in the Bridgehampton, NY – the last existing standalone K-Mart in the continental United States – for its newest Target location on Long Island.
Located in the heart of the Bridgehampton Commons shopping center, this Target Flex Format project calls for a wide range of departments, including grocery, home essentials, apparel, and electronics, along with specialty areas such as a CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks. Prefabricated fitting rooms, upgraded restrooms, and a fully redesigned stock room will be built for smooth operations and a better shopping experience. Adding to the shopping experience will be a refreshed façade, improved parking lot, and updated signage. Trades on the project include demolition, concrete, masonry, storefront, carpentry, interior and exterior finishes, and MEP work.
This new Target location is set to open in October 2026.
