EW HOWELL & SUSTAINABILITY
Environmental responsibility is paramount at EW Howell. We consider active efforts to address environmental issues and continuously improve our practices to be integral components of business management. We carefully track the environmental impact of all our business activities, constantly seeking to contribute
to sustainability and responsible growth.
We strive to reduce environmental impact by conserving energy and resources, promoting recycling, reducing the generation of waste and toxic chemicals, implementing green purchasing, and preserving natural ecosystems. Additionally, we advocate and participate in sustainable construction. Resilient and high-performing buildings are the key to increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy costs.
LEED CERTIFICATION
A member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) since 2007, EW Howell continues to focus on expanding our LEED AP staff members. We have successfully achieved LEED certification on over a dozen projects, with many more pending; all with a rating of LEED silver or higher. We encourage our subcontractors and suppliers to take active steps to protect the environment and support firms who have adopted the 2030 initiative. We collaborate with A/E, owners and communities to implement pragmatic, cost-effective solutions towards reaching each firm’s unique goals.
