Blanc de Chine Exterior

EW Howell Construction Group was awarded construction management services for Hong Kong-based retailer Blanc de Chine.

The project consisted of renovating an existing 8,000-square-foot retail store at 673 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The existing basement, ground, second, and portion of the third-floor levels were renovated to house the store label which currently has two other locations in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The construction and renovation for the New York flagship store included a new limestone façade and storefront, retail space, display area, fitting rooms, back of the house operations with cash wraps, staff area, and stock room.

The Blanc de Chine project was completed in November 2005, with the store’s grand opening being held the following December.
