Huntington Shopping Center
PROJECT DETAILS
This project consisted of the 222,600-square-foot renovation and new construction of the new Huntington Shopping Center. The scope of work included the construction of a new Whole Foods Market, enhancements and repairs to the existing surface-level parking lot, the installation of benches and public seating, and three new vehicular and pedestrian entrances.
Beyond the new Whole Foods Market, each storefront will receive new signage, lighting fixtures, and façade repairs. Additional retail tenants include PetSmart, Ulta Beauty, Tilly’s, and Michaels. All current tenants remained open during construction, and once the redevelopment was complete, there was a total of 277,000 square feet of retail at the site.
Vacant open spaces at the shopping center, referred to as pad sites, will also be prepared for potential construction in the future.
In May 2024, the Huntington Shopping Center was spotlighted in New York Real Estate Journal’s Developing Long Island Spotlight. It was also recognized in the Long Island Business News 2024 Real Estate, Architecture, & Engineering Awards, being named Top Retail Redevelopment – Suffolk. The project was recognized at the AIA Long Island Chapter’s 59th Annual Archi Awards for Commercial Mercantile Renovations and Additions.
