On the IS 322K project, pre-cast panels have been erected, ductwork and copper lines are all tested as well as sheetrock throughout the building. The elevator and masonry work has made significant progress, and we are expecting roofing to start within the month of March.

The portion of the building that was left out due to the size of the crane needed for the erection of the pre-cast panels is substantially complete. All steel has been erected, metal decks have been poured, fireproofing is complete and MEP rough-in is well underway. We are expecting the pre-cast crane to be back on site towards the end of march for roughly a week to complete the remaining panels.

With drywall substantially complete from cellar up to the third floor, we are starting to transition over to finishes. We have tile work, painting and ceiling grid all starting.

With summer quickly approaching, that means the same can be said for Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO). The project team has been working 6 days a week to ensure we will be ready for school to open this upcoming September.

I.S. 322K, a 5-story, 77,900 SF new school is scheduled to open at the old Nathans site on 86th Street and 7th Avenue in Bay Ridge in September 2024. Plans call for 475 seats, 72 of which will be in the D75 program, which provides highly specialized instruction for students who have significant challenges.
