Lincoln Hall Building 607 United States Military Academy at West Point

PROJECT DETAILS

EW Howell Construction Group has been awarded the Lincoln Hall, Building 607 project from the United States Military Academy at West Point from the Department of the Army, NY District Corps of Engineers.

The Lincoln Hall, Building 607 facility encompasses 60,495 square feet with four stories and three basement levels. Cram, Goodhue, and Ferguson originally built the facility as a Bachelor Officer’s Quarters in 1909. The building is one of many buildings encompassed by the USMA National Historic Landmark District (NHLD) in 1966, listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

In 1987, the space was renovated to support academic departmental use, being converted from Bachelor Officer’s Quarters to its current use as a General Instruction Building. Since then, no significant renovations have been made and major building systems were failing, broken, or unserviceable.

Work on this project includes repair of building systems in need of surface, including superstructure, substructure, building envelope, doors, windows, interior walls, partitions, interior finishes, conveying systems, roofing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, electric power/lighting, and electrical systems. Complete interior reconfiguration, as well as removal and demolishing of failing systems and components, is expected as well.

Since 2024, EW Howell has fully mobilized on-site. We are also in the process of conducting demolition and starting abatement.
