Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital, Long Beach Medical Arts Pavilion
The 15,400-square-foot Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital Long Beach Medical Arts Pavilion is built above the 100-year flood plain and assists in meeting the projected medical needs of the communities on the South Shore of Long Island, including Long Beach and the surrounding areas.
The construction of the building provides 14 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 2 dedicated gastroenterology procedure rooms, 1 ultrasound room, 1 diagnostic X-ray room, and 1 pain management room, for a total of 21 treatment spaces. Site improvements to the MAP include new parking areas, water retention systems, landscaping, and lighting.
The MAP features a hospital-grade air filtration system and space planning guidelines to reduce the spread of potentially infectious disease. Entryways and bathroom facilities are touchless to reduce the possibility of infection spread.
In June 2023, the opening of the Long Beach Medical Arts Pavilion was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
