NYU Langone Patchogue Ambulatory Rendering 2025

NYU Langone Health, Ambulatory Surgery and Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Care Center

EW Howell Construction Group is the Construction Manager for the new NYU Langone Health Ambulatory Surgery and Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Care Center project located on Main Street in Patchogue Village, which was previously the home of various retailers, including Burlington Coat Factory.

The new reuse of the space includes removing the roof structure and mechanical penthouse and constructing new side walls and a roof structure for the new 2-story design, each floor with approximately 27,000 square feet, with ceiling heights of 12 feet on the first floor and 9 feet on the second floor.

The NYU Langone Patchogue Ambulatory project requires new structural work that meets the unique structural and MEP vibration criteria for Article 28 ambulatory surgery programs by any AHJ with jurisdiction. The new foundation work, underpinning, etc., for new footings and elevator pits must also meet these requirements. The north and sound elevations will receive new faces and improvements at the exterior walkways at the building’s front and rear lot lines.

This project is another prime example of the reuse of an existing space in the heart of a downtown district.
