Galyans Exterior

Galyan’s, Roosevelt Field Mall

EW Howell Construction Group was selected as the Construction Manager for the first Galyan’s store on Long Island, which is currently Dick’s Sporting Goods. Our services also included Pre-Construction.

Galyan’s chose EW Howell for the Pre-Construction phase of the project; subsequently, EW Howell negotiated a contract to act as Construction Manager for the major interior and exterior renovation of the tenant space at the Roosevelt Field Mall. The approximately 100,000-square-foot retail space, a portion of the former Stern’s Department store, was designed by Abbot & Abbot Architects of Columbus, Ohio.

The barrel vaulted, 2-story glass facade showcases the broad range of products that appeal to consumers with active lifestyles. Highly aesthetic metal and timber interior details, a 55-foot-high interior atrium, and a signature rock-climbing wall are a few of the retailer’s unique features brought with them to Roosevelt Field Mall.
