Southampton Hospital, OR and CORE Lab

Located at 240 Meeting House Lane on the East End of Long Island, EW Howell Construction Group completed two projects for Southampton Hospital: a 6,000-square-foot addition and renovation of the operating room (OR) and a 5,000-square-foot CORE lab renovation. These projects were completed in several phases as the hospital remained in operation.

The Audrey and Martin Gruss Heart & Stroke Center provides sophisticated diagnostics and interventional treatment of stroke and vascular disease to residents of Long Island’s East End. The Center offers emergency cardiovascular surgeries on aneurisms and other procedures—something patients previously had to be transferred to Stony Brook, more than 45 minutes from the Hamptons, to receive—as well as an education center for healthcare professionals, an advanced endovascular suite, a hybrid operating room, and the latest imaging technology.

Construction was completed in 2015.
