The scope of the Stony Brook University Student Union Rehabilitation project included the total removal of all elements down to the existing poured-in-place waffle slab concrete structure and construction for the rehabilitation of the complete existing Student Union Building.

The project also consisted of the complete interior renovation and rehab of the building envelope, including, but not limited to structural modification, new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and elevator systems.

The Stony Brook University Student Union rehabilitation project is LEED Silver certified by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
