Friends Academy

Upper School

EW Howell Construction Group was brought on as the Construction Manager for the Pre-Construction services for the Friends Academy Upper School, also known as Gideon Frost Hall, an extensive addition and renovation project. EW Howell then acted as the General Contractor for this 40,000-square-foot project. The new lobby features a circular soffit and columns with wood flooring. An elevator was built into the existing structure. A complete gut/demolition renovation with all new finishes, i.e., ceilings, flooring, and walls to compliment the new addition along with complete mechanical replacement, new waste, ventilation, sprinkler, heating, and air-conditioning were also added.

Kumar Wang Library

This project consisted of a 3-story, 24,000-square-foot library with mezzanine and cupola. The cupola can be viewed from the main floor through an octagon-shaped opening in successive floors. A second level bridge connects the library with the main school building.
