PS 206K Render

EW Howell Construction Group was awarded the $59 million P.S. 206K project in Brooklyn, New York.

This project consists of the construction of a 5-story, 60,000-square-foot addition to an existing school in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The existing structure, known as the Joseph F. Lamb School, was originally built in 1924. The new building addition is a structural steel framed building with concrete decks and will feature a Terracotta Rainscreen system for its façade.

The first floor of the building will feature a cafeteria and kitchen; the second to fifth floors are reserved for classrooms, art rooms, music rooms, and additional student space. Notable features of this building include a fully electric heating system and an environmentally friendly green roof.
